The sparkle of life -
Ray Field
For Ray Field, a life-long interest in
jewelry-making has found a home at Wyndemere. "My interest in
jewelry-making began in Colorado, where I was studying for a
master's degree," said Ray. "Living in Colorado, my wife and I
traveled to mining towns in the mountains where we collected
interesting stones."
During a career as a teacher, coach, and
industrial sales person, Ray continued his interest jewelry-making
classes. "Designing and working with my hands brought together many
of my past experiences," said Ray.
A Wyndemere resident for the past year, Ray found
a home for his jewelry-making interest in a section of the Wyndemere
greenhouse. He fixes broken jewelry for fellow residents and gives
away other pieces he has created. "With a wife, three children,
their spouses and ten grandchildren, I have a ready make 'market'
for my pieces," said Ray.
For Ray, retirement just added a little more
"sparkle" to his life. |
