How do I make a decision about coming to a continuing care community?
As we age, there are three questions that take on increasing importance:
What happens if I get sick?
What quality of services do I hope to receive?
Do I have enough money to last me the rest of my life?
To address those concerns, seniors often look at different options: investing in long-term care insurance, downsizing into a smaller home, joining a rental retirement community or joining a continuing care retirement community, such as Wyndemere Senior Living Campus. Wyndemere offers the advantage of accommodating your needs as they change. Residents have the peace of mind of knowing that their needs will be taken care of and that they don't have to worry about running out of money. With fees for skilled nursing care escalating, that's an important point to consider.
To reach the decision that's best for them, individuals need to do their own assessment of several factors:
health, financial situation, risks and values.
To further help in this decision-making process, the Wyndemere Senior Living Campus offers a seminar called "Retirement 101" which is designed to help you better understand and research today's complex senior living options. For more information about Retirement 101, call Wyndemere's marketing department at 866-933-4799.

Does Westridge offer respite care/ what is respite?
Respite is a short term stay, generally from 1 to 30 days, to transition a resident back to home or potential future permanent residency. Westbridge has six apartments fully decorated and furnished for respite care. If a person has had surgery or a health challenge, is being discharged from the hospital and needs additional support to fully recuperate, Westbridge respite is an excellent option. Also, families with older adults living with them can use Westbridge respite as a short-term stay while the family is out of town or vacationing. A private suite, three meals per day, activities and support for assisted daily living are provided. Contact Marketing Representative Lynn Zab at 866-933-4799 for further details.

Can my doctor see me at Wynscape?
We encourage our patients to have their primary care physicians continue in that role once they come to Wynscape, so long as they meet the criteria outlined by the Department of Public Health. If a patient does not have a physician, Wynscape will assign a new doctor and the patient is always free to make a new physician selection.

If I come to Wynscape for rehab, what is the process for me to come back home?
When patients come to Wynscape for rehabilitation, we begin planning for them to return home as soon as they arrive. In our initial assessment, we develop a plan of care, complete with referrals to any follow-up services that may be needed once the patient returns home. Our goal is for each of our patients to reach the highest level of independence possible.
